In an official press release published on Tuesday, 18 June 2019, American movie kiosk Redbox and food delivery service DoorDash have teamed up for an upcoming summer promotion.
According to the official press release, popular movie rental outlet, Redbox, will be partnering with delivery service, DoorDash, for a promotion scheduled to take place from July 2019. The partnership will launch an upcoming ‘Dinner & A Movie’ special across the United States of America, offering fans free movie nights and free deliveries on up to three orders delivered through DoorDash. Redbox has stated that the promotion will include both disc and on-demand streaming, which aims to promote meaningful movie and dining occasions for family and friends.
Ash ElDifrawi, chief marketing and customer experience officer of Redbox, stated, “We live in an age where people don’t spend enough time connecting. Simple things, nostalgic things, like dinner and a movie, can really bring us together. Our partnership with DoorDash is about value and convenience”.
Matt Rotella, DoorDash’s head of corporate development, added to the sentiment, stating, “Connecting people with possibility is core to DoorDash’s mission and our partnership with Redbox reinforces this commitment by creating an engaging new experience for our customers. We’re excited to bring the ‘Dinner & A Movie’ campaign into customers’ homes nationwide this summer”.
The press release was accompanied by a promotional poster, showcasing a happy family watching a movie whilst eating dinner.
