If you’ve been anywhere near the Hounslow High Street Quarter construction site recently, you’ll have noticed a diference.
It’s really shooting up.
The scheme’s double-basement car park is nearing completion.
The superstructure for the development, which will include a multiplex, new shops, restaurants and 500 new homes is now visible at ground level.
The Cineworld multiscreen cinema is on track for opening in 2021.
Meanwhile, for those interested in buying a home at High Street Quarter, Project Director Danny Farenden with developer Barratt said the company would be launching a Help to Buy scheme in July.
He said: “High Street Quarter is a flagship project for Barratt London, and we are pleased to report that construction is progressing well.
“We’re now on track to seeing our first completions take place in 2020 and the scheme’s double basement car park is nearing completion.”
He said one of the apartment blocks – Block D – currently stands at 12 storeys, whilst progress continues on other blocks.
“When in Hounslow’s Town Centre, you may notice that demolition works are now complete on the existing properties along the High Street. This will enable space for a new high street entrance and allow access to Cineworld, which will open in 2021.”
The project will be set around a new town square and is being delivered by Hounslow Council, in partnership with Barratt London and L&Q.
