Intel and Lenovo have signed a multi-year partnership agreement where both companies will focus on converging high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) to build solutions for organisations of all sizes and solve the world’s most challenging problems.

As part of the collaboration, Lenovo will be enhancing Intel’s complete portfolio of HPC and AI hardware and software solutions. Voicea website said Voicea is a voice collaboration platform powered by an Enterprise Voice Assistant named EVA. EVA is an AI that takes commands, performs actions and captures highlights in meetings to share them and create actionable recaps.

The acquisition of Voicea, headquartered in Mountain View, CA, will assist Cisco to enhance its Webex products with a powerful transcription service that blends AI and Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) to unlock the power of any collaboration, like meetings and calls.

Voicea team will join the Webex portfolio team. Omar Tawakol is the chief executive officer of Voicea. Ahmad Abdulkader is the CTO of Voicea. Cisco said the acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of Cisco’s fiscal year 2020.
