Czech operator Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Stredocesky region to cooperate in the field of IoT.

The administration of the region will offer to municipalities and businesses infrastructure services for environmental and types of data monitoring on the basis of the LoRaWAN platform. CRA will provide a complete infrastructure including IoT cloud, the necessary hardware and its integration, as well as end-user applications.

Under the cooperation, the regional administration will be able to transfer 1.5 million messages monthly over the LoRaWAN network of CRA and also gets a package of licences for 1,500 registered devices. The devices will monitor the indoor environment of buildings (CO2, temperature, humidity, light, movement) and environmental values (CO, NO2, SO2, O3, temperature, pressure, humidity, light, dust, noise). Users will be able to access the information via a web application, including an alert management interface.
